A capoeirista in white, low in a sweeping ginga on a stone overlook at sunset, one arm raised, with the bay, Sugarloaf Mountain and a colonial bell tower behind her.

The pattern

You know this moment by heart.

  • The draft, the folder, the half-built thing — opened and closed on the same evening for the eleventh time.
  • All day you're decisive and formidable for everyone else. Then forty minutes on one small decision about your own work, and it's still waiting in the morning.
  • In about four seconds you can produce a completely reasonable case for why now is the wrong moment. You've started to notice how fast it arrives.
  • You've done more preparation than the thing itself would have taken.
  • A friend still asks about the idea you told them about two years ago. You change the subject with real skill.
  • The calendar block marked with your own project's name, moved to next week again to make room for someone else's emergency.
  • You could teach the next step. You've watched three people you mentored take it.
  • The tiredness that arrives at nine o'clock, right when the evening was finally yours.

Each of these is the same moment, wearing different clothes.

The argument

Where the force went

Most of you are not short on courage. What you're short on is available force.

Your courage is intact. So is your discipline. Both are on duty — committed, years ago, to a fight you didn't choose.

That opponent is internal. It has a name. It has habits, predictable ones, and a voice you'd recognise in half a sentence.

Anything with habits can be met. When you meet it, the force it's been holding comes home to you.

What shifts, day by day

Tuesday · October 27

The enemy has a name.

What stops you is specific. It has a voice and it has habits — and once you know its habits, it can be met.

Wednesday · October 28

The price of the path.

Moving costs something real. So does staying. You have simply never written the two columns next to each other.

Thursday · October 29

The vow.

One action you cannot take back, with a date on it and a witness who knows.

Runs 1:00–2:50 PM Mountain Time.

This room

What's different here

The industry sells Warrior as intensity. Relentlessness is the symptom, not the cure.

A person running on inherited fear is already the most relentless person in any room they walk into. They answer the late email. They carry the crisis. More intensity feeds the engine that's been driving them.

The tradition this work comes from defines the Warrior by discernment — knowing when to pause, step back and assess. The Warrior serves Life. Winning belongs to a smaller story.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it isn't

This is for you if

  • You've built a life that works for everyone who depends on you, and you want some of that force back for your own work.
  • You've done years of inner work. You can name your patterns fluently, and you're ready for the part where something moves.
  • You want a teacher who tells you the truth plainly, and a room of peers who can take it.
  • You'll give three afternoons a pen, paper and your full attention.

It isn't for you if

  • You want motivation — ninety minutes with the volume turned up.
  • You're looking for a formula that guarantees an outcome.
  • You're in acute crisis right now. This room asks for steady ground; a therapist or crisis line is the right first call.
  • It's not for anyone who needs to be talked into it. I've never once had a good outcome with someone I convinced.

Your teacher

Dr. Oscar C. Pérez

Oscar has spent more than thirty years inside Toltec and animist traditions — as a practitioner, a Sundancer and a martial artist. He teaches what those lineages know about carrying force well.

He calls the people he works with Griefbearers: the one in each family who carried more than their share. His work is helping them become Pattern-Breakers.

He holds a doctorate from Brown and taught at Harvard. He is the author of The Flowering War.

Questions

Before you decide

Will there be replays?

Yes. Each session is recorded. General Admission includes 72 hours of replay access; VIP Circle includes 30 days.

Do I need to have attended the earlier masterclasses?

Warrior stands on its own. It's the third archetype in the series, and each one is complete in itself — you can begin here.

What if I miss a session?

Watch the recording within your replay window — 72 hours for General Admission, 30 days for VIP Circle — and do the practices as you go. Live is better. The recording still does the work.

What does VIP actually add?

Three things. A 30-minute integration circle straight after each session (2:30–3:00 PM Mountain Time, and 2:50–3:20 PM on Thursday). Thirty days of replay access instead of 72 hours. And The Blade and the Vow, a printed 15-page workbook used live and through the following weekend.

How long does Thursday run?

Thursday, October 29 runs from 1:00 to 2:50 PM Mountain Time — twenty minutes longer than the first two afternoons. Keep your calendar clear through 2:50, or through 3:20 PM if you're in the VIP Circle.

What time is that where I live?

1:00 PM Mountain Time is 12:00 PM Pacific, 3:00 PM Eastern, and 7:00 PM in London.

What is the Soul Recovery System?

Dr. Pérez's flagship 12-week program. On Thursday, applications open; entry is by application. You'll hear about it once, at the end of the last session. Letting it pass is a perfectly good answer.

How does pricing work?

Pricing steps up on fixed dates, in Mountain Time.
